After the successful premiere back in 2006, the Day of the Newcomer will once again take place on the premises of German Genetics International (GGI) in Cloppenburg Bethen on May 29th, 2008.
Already two years ago the Day of the Newcomer convinced with its special atmosphere. The successful combination of many possibilities to discuss and obtain information with various attractions made the experiment become an event. More than 2,000 national and international guests visited the last Day of the Newcomer. This year ten top progeny groups will be presented in a rustic ambience on the GGI premises. Everybody is invited to inform themselves at the booths of the coops participating. At the same time there will be the possibility for lively discussions with breeding fellows and the people responsible for breeding of the coops. Furthermore, there will be a rich programme for young and old. Various agricultural companies will present themselves on a local industrial exhibition, exciting activities where young and old will be invited to participate and there will be the possibility of farm visits. The programme will be topped off with interesting guides in the well-known Open-Air Museum in Cloppenburg. With folkloristic, agricultural and cultural historical topics about the life in the country in former times can be witnessed. The event will take place on May 29th, 2008 from 09:30 to 16:00 in Cloppenburg-Bethen, Am Osterfeld 14.
